What kind of Operating system the HP Slate 500 tablet uses and how is it compared to Dell Streak 7 Tablet? I am seriously considering buying a bunch of them, but not sure which one.

So, if HP Slate is targeted for businesses, does it mean HP TouchPad is targeted for the consumer? which means is the TouchPad more of a competition to iPad? As for the WebOS, so this is Palm then. WebOS has a spotty history as a cool platform. I hope HP does a better job than Palm onit. To stay competitive with iPad and other tablets, my suggestion to HP is to make it very clear to the developers showing them how to make money on this platform.

The HP slate is windows 7, the dell streak android 2.2 and the newly announced HP TouchPad runs WebOS. The key difference is what applications you need to run. The slate is targeted at the wintel business market and the others are supported by the app stores aligned to the OS. In my personal opinion, it's less about the hardware and more about what you need to be productive...
Ardeshir, HP Slate runs on Windows 7 Professional device with practically no 3rd party applications installed except Evernote and the camera software. Not sure how it stacks up against Dell Streak 7 though. Anyone else?
