Since my amazing battle with my cancer and surviving it last year (according to my Docs),I decided to join a few cancer related pages on facebook to share my experience and save others. As I mentioned it in my blog post here ( http://awesomedc.com/2011/11/08/cancer-one-of-the-best-thing-ever-happened-to-me ), although, I let the chemo does its job, but I mostly relayed on the new diet that I learned during my battle. Every time, I post one of my valuable diet related tips on those pages, my post was deleted in less than a minute.
- Hodgkins Lymphoma:
I wasn't sure the admin of those pages had something personal against me or just didn't like my posts. So, one time, I post some B.S. story about a particular type of chemo medicine called R-CHOP. Not surprisingly, that post was not deleted. That was the tipping point for me to find out about the people behind these pages. So, I started paying more attention to the communications between the admin and the fans. One of the most obvious one that I never forget, one user asked "How can I boost up the amount of antioxidant in my body?". I responded "Take as much black, straw, blue berries, cherries, kiwi, beets, and Papaya as possible. Another user responded by promoting some medicine that I don't even remember its name. My respond was deleted, but not the other dude promoting a medicine. After that incident, I was more than ever convinced about the type of people behind these pages. Sadly, I concluded those pages are there to sell us more medicine not to help us to survive.
