Facebook may start charging users after IPO. Are you guys willing to pay a monthly fee for your Facebook account?
asked by Farshid Sepassi about 1 year ago

Right now Facebook is making $4.39 per user, but with its IPO and once Wall Street takes hold of Facebook, the pressure will be on for Facebook. Users may have to pay a monthly fee.

I doubt FB will charge users. The fact that you can state you have 845 million users puts you in unprecedented media league. Why reduce that, if anything you want to reach a billion quickly. Then become smarter with you advisement targeting and hit $10/user = 8.5 billion dollars in just ad revenues. Imagine what they can do with selling market research reports by aggregating all this information they have about us.
